An old thing in the woods, bigger than a story and quieter than he should be.

Moss-Back is one of the old presences moving through the deep woods of Lenor County. People have plenty of names for things seen between trees, but names rarely tell the whole truth. Moss-Back is ancient, powerful, connected to the land, and not nearly as simple as a backroad sighting.

He is earthy, mysterious, unexpectedly funny, and gentle only until gentleness stops working.
